At the School of Santa Isabel, we are fortunate to have a communtiy that works together. When good collaboration occurs, it is not necessary that our parents work 30-40 service hours. When we all work together, it is possible for every parent to only have to work three events the whole school year. These events usually averages 25 hours per year. Below are examples of service opportunities.
USC/Rams FOOTBALL GAMES: We need at least 20 parents and volunteers to work the USC/Rams home football games. This usually lasts all day and requires about 10 hours of work. It is also our biggest fundraiser. We really rely on your help! The list of games are already placed on the calendar. We ask that you call the office to sign up to work a Coliseum obligation. Please be advised that there is a fine for signing up and cancelling at the last minute or not showing up.
All are required to wear black pants (not jeans), a white polo shirt with no logo, black cap with no logo, and black closed shoes. We carpool and meet at the school.
BREAKFAST: We usually have one breakfast per year. it will be scheduled after a parish school liturgy on a Sunday morning. Those that work the breakfast usually sign up for a shift between 7:30 a.m. and end the day about 12:00 P.M. Please be on the look out for invitations to sign up for a breakfast.
FAMILY FUN DAY: This is scheduled on a Saturday in May. Parents that choose this event usually work from 8:00 – 2:00 P.M. There is a meeting prior to the event and PTO board members assigned parents to jobs. This event is successful due to parent participation.
***Parents who have children in sports will have additional service hours. We charge a sports fee of $25 per sport. We all work together to fund our sports program.
THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO. WE COULD NOT DO THIS WITHOUT YOUR HARD WORK AND SACRIFICES!!!
